Our tradition can be your tradition.

Experience the tradition that is Joliet Catholic Academy as the college preparatory high school for boys and girls hosts its annual Step-Up Day on Friday, Nov. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

JCA’s step-up day allows eighth-grade students to be assigned to a homeroom and move through the day by attending mini-classes that showcase such areas as Language Arts, History, Mathematics, Science, Theology and the Fine Arts.

Future Angels and Hillmen will have the opportunity to tour JCA’s state-of-the-art computer lab and receive a free lunch served by the famous “Captain Bob” and our cafeteria staff.

The day’s agenda also allows eighth-grade students to check out JCA’s 50 clubs, organizations, honor societies and sports teams and ask questions of moderators and our state championship-caliber coaching staff. The day will end with an official high school pep assembly.

This invitation is extended to all eighth-grade classes. Check with your junior high to see if they are sending your eighth-grade class or if you need to independently RSVP to JCA. Please RSVP by Oct. 21.

Bus transportation is available if there are five or more students coming from one school and JCA will coordinate with the junior high. Open House dates for JCA are Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Dec. 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The placement exam is Jan. 14, 2012 at 8 a.m.

For more information, please contact Debbie Dispenza or Mary Ragusa in the JCA Admissions Office at 815-741-0500 or email admissions@jca-online.org.
