The Minooka Indians improved their season record to 7-2 on the year Tuesday night at the Hinsdale South Holiday boys varsity basketball tournament after they dominated Downers Grove North 62-27 in the opening round. In what was a mistake riddled first half that ended with a slim 4 point Minooka advantage 22-18, the Indians used the halftime break to sort out their turnovers and used a decisive third quarter to out score the Trojans (3-7) 15-3 while forcing 7 turnovers in the quarter and opened with a 13-0 run.

Senior Minooka forward Adam Reynolds led all scorers with 16 points and grabbed 11 boards in the win. "We played very inconsistent in the first half and we turned the ball over trying to do too much, once we settled down and ran our offense we took control. It was a good win but it's only one game, we need to do a better job the rest of the way and win this tournament."
